SLK - Form EP

Our third release comes from SLK (pronounced ‘silk’), a London based singer who has been creating a buzz since she caught people’s attention with her debut track ‘Ride’.

Working with just one producer across a project is often a good move, bringing a cohesiveness and flow that makes it feel like a worthwhile body of work rather than a random collection of offcuts. On this release SLK has chosen to work with the extremely talented Embody, who shows his ear for detail and versatility across six incredibly well produced tracks.

With love from BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, 1xtra and further afield and a voice which sets her apart from the timid whispers of her contemparies, ‘Form’ marks SLK as someone who should be on everyone’s radar.

Otik - Persist EP

Having been careful to bide our time and focus our efforts on the oft-forgotten quality over quantity approach, we are now ready to drop our second offering from London-via-Bristol producer Otik. Following Jon Phonics’ widely supported ‘Grid Games’ EP last year, Otik’s eight-track ‘Persist’ EP expands upon two self-released EPs and a recent free single via Fat! Records from the producer.

Across four original productions Otik is given the broadest canvas yet to explore his low-end heavy and distinctly UK-inflected take on house, while each track comes backed by a remix with Artifact, GoldFFinch, Thefft and eplp all stepping up with their own re-imaginings of his music.

While still a new name to many, Otik has quickly proven his credentials with a small but meticulously crafted and steadily growing discography. This release continues to build on the foundations he has laid and with a series of shows lined up, the EP looks set to be a watershed moment for the producer and will undoubtedly have him singled out as one to watch for 2014.

Jon Phonics - Grid Games EP

The inaugural release on PRISM comes courtesy of Jon Phonics, fresh off the back of his debut appearance on vinyl with the essential ‘Bruck Out/The One’ 7″ on Chakra Sounds.

Never one to rest on his laurels, Jon now presents the ‘Grid Games’ EP. This instrumental, progressive project is a nod to his more leftfield influences forging elements of electronica, 2 step and bass music.

The vinyl features collaborations with S-Type (LuckyMe), Jeeks (Civil Music), Pete Cannon and BUG alongiside remixes from Kidkanevil, Ghost Mutt and Pedestrian.

The digital release contains additional collaborations with S-Type and Jaisu and remixes from Bobby Tank and SirOJ.
